In Canada, these conditions alone represent more than one fifth of all healthcare-related disability costs. While surgical procedures have advanced dramatically, rehabilitation methods have not kept pace. Traditional recovery tools rely on passive braces, clinic-only devices, and generic exercise programs that fail to adapt to the individual needs of patients.
OrthoSync was created to close this gap
Our system is built around a modular brace that can be adapted for use on either the knee or shoulder.
Embedded within the brace are advanced sensors that monitor muscle activity, joint movement, and pressure distribution in real time. These insights guide integrated therapeutic modules that deliver vibration stimulation, photothermal therapy, programmable cold therapy, and optional electrostimulation.
A companion mobile app provides audiovisual guidance and dynamic, AI-driven recovery plans, while clinicians are able to monitor progress and adjust treatment remotely through a secure dashboard integrated with Electronic Health Record systems.

Dr. Shaghaghi is a leading orthopedic surgeon with over 20 years of surgical and hospital leadership experience.
